Project Manger We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Group Construction Project Manager to oversee multiple construction projects within our organization. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of construction management practices, and the ability to effectively manage resources to ensure timely and successful project completion. The group has several construction projects to deliver in 2024/5 to unlock growth within the enterprises. The role will ensure that projects are delivered commercially, working with the resources available within the group and on programme to suit the requirements of the group enterprises. _Responsibilities Project Planning and Execution Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation, for multiple construction projects. Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure adherence to project schedules and budgets. Monitor project progress, identify potential risks or delays, and implement proactive solutions to mitigate issues. Team Leadership and Management: Lead a team of external consultants, engineers, contractors, and other construction professionals to ensure effective communication and collaboration. Resource Management: Manage the allocation of group resources, including manpower, procurement and materials, and equipment, to optimize project efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Negotiate contracts with consultants, contractors, and subcontractors and vendors to secure competitive pricing and quality services. Quality Assurance and Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, codes, and standards governing construction activities, working closely with the group compliance team. Implement quality control measures to maintain high standards of workmanship and project deliverables. Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify and address any deficiencies or non-compliance issues. Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders, including executives, enterprise managers, and project sponsors, providing regular updates on project status, cost control and contractor performance. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, or related field (preferred but not essential). Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction management, with a proven track record of successfully overseeing multiple projects simultaneously. Strong leadership abilities, with experience managing and developing high-performing teams. In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and techniques, as well as relevant regulations and industry standards. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with diverse stakeholders. Proficiency in project management software and tools, such as Primavera P6, Procore, or Microsoft Project. Professional certifications, such as PMP (Project Management Professional) or CCM (Certified Construction Manager), are desirable.
