For roles based in London, your contractual place of work will be Stratford. While the Stratford site is expected to become operational from November 2025 – March 2026, you will be required to carry out your contractual duties from Vauxhall or another reasonable location on a temporary basis during the interim period. Please note that, as Stratford will be your contractual place of work, any subsequent move from a temporary location will not entitle you to payments for travel time or costs under the Relocation and Excess Travel Policy.
Job Overview
Exciting opportunity to join the NCA’s Integrated Protective Security command. We are looking to recruit a Deputy STRAP Security Officer to support the NCA’s dedicated STRAP & iCdesk Management Unit (SiMU). The role will involve daily protection of the highest levels of sensitive material by applying and enforcing the government standard known as STRAP.
Responsibilities
* Manage the STRAP Secure Accredited Environments (Enclaves) and ensure compliance with the Cabinet Office Security Policy Framework.
* Provide advice, guidance and conduct briefings on STRAP matters to staff.
* Store and exchange caveated SECRET and above material to meet business needs.
* Deliver access to iCdesk, including familiarisation sessions for those granted an account.
* Maintain accurate records of officers with access to different levels of information.
* Act as a point of contact to assist colleagues in making effective security decisions.
* Ensure external accreditation is retained by managing procedures and records.
* Transfer intelligence from strategic partners and collaborate with Vetting and other partners.
* Investigate and record security incidents or breaches, liaise with the Security Incidents Team and make recommendations.
Qualifications
* UK nationals only.
* DV STRAP clearance (or ability to obtain).
* Experience managing risk, making effective decisions and working to tight deadlines.
* Strong organisational and administrative skills.
* Experience in a security or information‑management environment.
