We are currently looking to recruit an Operations Manager to manage our West area Family Support Teams based in county hall. This post is required to partially backfill a currently existing Operation Manager who will have new responsibilities in overseeing the Family Help pilot site in Eastbourne.
As you know you will be joining a strong service, with experienced managers, at an exciting time for the social work profession and multi-agency working.
We are looking for a highly motivated social work manager who understands how to improve outcomes for children and who has a proven track record in Locality Children's Services. The successful candidate will be an experienced front line manager who will have strong management and leadership skills to provide excellent services that improve outcomes for our children and young people. You will be confident in contributing to service development in line with the Children's Wellbeing and Education Bill and Family First Partnership guidance and you will be joining a management team that will be looking at how to implement the creation of family help service and in the future introducing the multi-agency child protection team.
Your practice must be evidence based and you will be confident in working in a multi-agency manner with key partners. You will be confident about managing risks to children and young people in the community whilst also being able to identify when care plans for children need to be reviewed so that they can remain safe and fulfil their full potential. You will be involved in decision making around initiating care proceedings applications for children and you will be confident around permanence planning for children, be that at home or within their extended family, or where alternative permanence options need to be explored. You will receive individualised support through a range of training and development opportunities to enable you to succeed in this role and to develop your career.
