We are looking for ambitious sales professionals with MedTech/Device and clinical trial sales experience seeking a new challenge.
The role of Director, Business Development includes the following responsibilities:
1. Be accountable for an individual annual target, selling to sponsor and biotech clients.
2. Independently lead the sales process, including planning and implementation of sales activities.
3. Assist with identifying bid defense team participants; educate team members on client culture, operational needs/methods, and sales techniques to close sales.
4. Identify accounts with potential to become global key accounts.
5. Lead the preparation of sponsor presentations, including general capabilities and bid defense presentations.
6. Understand and identify potential growth areas through market research and knowledge of the competitive landscape.
The Director, Business Development is an individual contributor role focused on new account acquisition and business development, offering the opportunity to sell our full-service capabilities and expertise in the MedTech/device sector.
We are hiring in the United Kingdom or Europe (Spain, Germany, and/or Netherlands).
Candidates with any combination of the following skills, knowledge, and experience are encouraged to apply:
* At least 5 years of CRO sales, commercial, or client relationship experience with a proven record of selling complex multi-service offerings, combined with strategic thinking and business acumen.
* A hunter and proven new business winner.
* Ability to independently lead regional sales strategies and processes.
* Ability to provide the VP with regular metrics.
* A proven record of business lead generation.
* Deep knowledge of how a CRO operates, gained from working within a full-service CRO.
