Senior Buyer
This is a strategic, high-impact role within a collaborative operations function, offering genuine ownership across supplier strategy, cost optimisation and supply chain resilience.
You'll be working closely with senior stakeholders internally and externally, managing critical supplier relationships and ensuring robust, scalable supply chains in a fast-paced, technically complex environment.
Key Responsibilities
Lead strategic sourcing and category management for electronic components
Drive commercial negotiations with key suppliers and subcontract partners
Develop and implement category strategies aligned to business objectives
Manage end-to-end supply chain activities, including contract manufacturers
Ensure supplier performance, delivery and capacity meet business demand
Monitor and optimise inventory levels, cost and availability
Support projects and NPI activity, delivering against timelines and objectives
Ensure compliance with relevant quality, regulatory and security standards
Candidate Profile
Proven experience in a Senior Buyer / Category Buyer role within a technical or manufacturing environment
Strong background in electronics or complex engineered products
Demonstrated success in supplier negotiation and contract management
Experience managing global suppliers and subcontract manufacturing
Strong commercial acumen with advanced analytical / Excel capability
CIPS qualified (or equivalent experience) preferred
Able to operate effectively in a fast-paced, regulated environment
