Trainee Traffic Installation Technician
Telent is seeking a Trainee Traffic Installation Technician to join our team of Traffic Signals / Traffic Lighting specialists in Gloucestershire. Due to growth, we are expanding our Traffic team in this region. This is a field-based role; the successful candidate must hold a full UK driving license and be willing to travel across the region and work in all weather conditions.

What you'll do:
Work with experienced Traffic Engineers to install, maintain, and test Traffic Signals / Traffic Lighting units and electrical components in Gloucestershire. Training includes classroom, on-the-job, desk-based, and online learning, leading to NVQ Level 2 and 3 in Highways Electrical Installations, as well as certifications like ECS and NHSS Chapter 8.
Who you are:
Interested in field-based engineering, with some exposure to electrical installations or a related college course. No experience? We encourage you to apply if you're eager to start a new career.
Key requirements / behaviours:
* Motivated and eager to learn through hands-on and online training
* Experience or qualification in electrical installations or related diploma
* Problem-solving skills and ability to interpret fault-finding instructions
* Full UK driving license
* Good communication skills and computer literacy
* Willing to undertake drug and alcohol testing for compliance
