About the Role
An established law firm based in Blackburn is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented RTA Paralegal to join its growing personal injury team. This is a fully onsite role offering the opportunity to manage your own caseload while supporting fee earners on a variety of Road Traffic Accident claims.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage a caseload of pre-litigated RTA claims from inception through to settlement
* Assist fee earners with litigated matters where required
* Draft legal documents, correspondence, and witness statements
* Liaise with clients, insurers, medical professionals, and third parties
* Obtain and review medical reports and evidence
* Negotiate settlements with insurers
* Ensure files are handled in line with regulatory and compliance standards
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date case management records
Requirements
* Previous experience handling RTA claims (essential)
* Strong understanding of the personal injury claims process
* Excellent communication and client care skills
* Ability to manage workload independently and meet deadlines
* Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
* Proficient in case management systems
Desirable
* Experience handling litigated RTA files
* Knowledge of MOJ Portal and Civil Procedure Rules
* Law degree or equivalent legal qualification
