Responsibilities
1. Contribute to curriculum development by creating, reviewing, and updating lesson plans and schemes of work.
2. Teach assigned classes and provide a well-organised, challenging, and engaging learning environment.
3. Foster self-directed learning and use technology to enhance student learning.
4. Utilise assessment data to inform lesson planning.
5. Assign and mark homework in a timely manner.
6. Ensure high-quality teaching and learning throughout lessons.
7. Address immediate issues or emergencies following school policies.
8. Respond to student inquiries and questions.
Requirements
1. Qualified Teacher Status - this is essential.
2. Proven experience teaching Drama at KS3.
3. Eligibility to work in the UK.
4. Enhanced DBS check (or willingness).
5. PGCE with QTS is preferred.
6. Strong understanding of the Drama curriculum.
7. Previous experience teaching Drama in a school or educational setting is preferred.
8. A genuine passion for Drama and the ability to inspire students creatively.
9. Solid theatrical knowledge, including drama techniques, stagecraft, and production processes.
10. Excellent classroom management skills.
11. Motivated, enthusiastic, and engaging demeanour.
12. Strong communication skills that inspire and engage students.
