Machine Operator
We’re looking for someone to run and look after heavy machinery in our Ellesmere Port site. You’ll be working as part of a team that ensures everything is running smoothly, safely, and on time.
Responsibilities
* Get machines set up at the start of your shift
* Run machines safely and properly
* Follow job drawings and load materials correctly
* Use hand tools when needed
* Weigh out ingredients carefully using proper scales
* Spot and sort out problems with machines
* Check materials before using them
* Change tools and parts when switching jobs
* Follow your supervisor’s instructions to meet quality standards
* Keep your area and tools clean and tidy
* Fill out paperwork for each job
* Speak politely to any customers or visitors
* Always follow Health & Safety rules
* Help your team and be willing to take on other jobs if asked
Qualifications
* Hard-working and reliable – you turn up ready to work
* Physically fit – there’s lifting and moving involved
* Good communication – you can listen and talk with the team
* Team player – you help out and get stuck in when needed
* Experienced – you’ve worked with machines for at least 3 years

* CSCS card proves you’re trained to work safely on sites
* CPCS card shows you’re qualified to run plant/machine equipment
