Families First Guildford is looking for a Team Leader to lead and manage the day‑to‑day delivery of emerging needs support in the borough of Guildford. This is a full‑time, permanent position (36 hours per week, with flexibility for a minimum of 30 hours across 4 days). The role will be based at the Guildford Nursery School, Hazel Avenue, and will involve supervising a team of Assistant Family Support Workers and, when required, holding a caseload of families.
Responsibilities
Lead and manage the delivery of emerging needs support services, supervise staff, maintain high‑quality service standards, and collaborate with parents, carers and external agencies to reduce inequalities in children’s outcomes.
Qualifications and Attributes
* Level 5 qualified in education, health and/or social care or equivalent experience in managing a related service.
* Qualified in leadership and management or willing to undertake a qualification.
* Good understanding of emerging needs support; positive, flexible, responsible and passionate about working with families.
* Strong team‑player with excellent interpersonal skills.
* Highly motivated and able to prioritise and manage a busy workload.
* Capable of working in partnership with parents and carers to reduce inequalities in children’s outcomes.

Salary and Recruitment
* Salary: PS8 scale £36,873 – £39,820 per annum (based on 36 hours per week).
