Overview
There is an opportunity at Millom Community Hospital for health care assistants to join our team. Total of 75 hours in total to be distributed to successful candidates based on their preference of hours.
Band 3 positions are primarily to cover the ward, with occasional district support required from time to time. The trust works on an internal rotation basis which involves working various shift times.
Qualifications
All applicants should ideally possess some experience in a health care setting, which can include nursing home experience.
Responsibilities
* Take direction from the nurse in charge.
* Provide a high standard of care to our in‑patients and patients in our community.
* Work alongside team members supporting each other and demonstrating a flexible approach to good working relationships.
* Support during any emergency situation.
Shift Details
Ward shifts: Early 07:00-15:00 hrs, Lates 12:00-20:00, 15:00-20:00, and nights 19:30-07:30 (7 days per week, including weekends). District nursing shifts: 08:30-16:30 (7 days per week).
Locations
The facility operates from three main hospitals: Furness General Hospital (FGH) in Barrow, the Royal Lancaster Infirmary (RLI), and Westmorland General Hospital (WGH) in Kendal, as well as a number of community healthcare premises including Millom Hospital and GP Practice, Queen Victoria Hospital in Morecambe, and Ulverston Community Health Centre.
Support and training can be provided to build on existing individual skills.
