About the role:
This is a great opportunity to supervise a team that are providing one of the most important services to Powys residents as well as increasing recycling. Waste and Recycling is collected from every resident, and in Powys we are one of the best performing Councils in Wales which as a country is third in the world for recycling! If it wasn’t for effective supervision and team, we could never achieve this.

About you:
You must hold a full driving license.
You must be able to manage and co-ordinate the day-to-day operations of a large team.
You must be committed to support the waste and recycling Manager.
Be able to provide effective leadership and management and be able to ensure staff have positive team principals of trust and motivation. -
Work to tight deadlines.
Willingness to undertake any appropriate training in relation to improving the service needs.
What you will do:
Be responsible for all operational works carried out by the waste & recycling Carry out and update risk assessments and ensure staff work within health and safety law.
Ensure vehicles and plant are maintained as per schedule.

Provide an efficient and effective service to residents that meets the Council’s
Produce various monthly electronic reports/stats for the area manager to
analyse.
