We provide Surveying, Design and Project Management services and have a tight network of clients who rely upon our services to support their goals.

The Roles
We aim to make 2 appointments as part of this round of hiring.
We are looking for a surveyor/ project manager who is progressing to a Senior level, or is already at a Senior level and a graduate surveyor/ project manager position, preferably with post-university experience.
You will be working to deliver surveying and project work alongside our small, tight and highly productive team. We are looking to expand the team with more than one appointment; therefore, we are open to the level of experience and position.
The role is for a Building Surveyor with a strong leaning towards project work, with demonstrated project experience. Or a Project Manager with a good technical understanding.
Gate & Bar currently operate flexible working (however most work from the office), we are about to move to our new offices in Heslington, York. Our success relies upon a positive office environment and teamwork. You will be provided with all necessary high-specification office equipment to facilitate a comfortable home and remote working in addition to a permanent desk at the office.
We do not band salaries and are not governed by a strict structure of pay, so flexible and competitive salaries can be offered. this role is envisaged at £35,000.00 - £60,000.00 depending on experience.

·Support the Managing Director in the delivery of company goals and long-term growth plans
·Start to finish delivery of construction projects, from feasibility, procurement and management on-site
·Design & Specification of construction projects
·Condition Surveys to support estate management and project delivery
·Develop tender documentation, including input from 3rd party designers and consultants
·Chairing meetings, monitoring works, and effectively communicating to design, client and contractor teams
·Have a good comprehension of key H&S legislation, including CDM 2015
·Maintain key relationships with our close network of consultants
·Effective diary management, including arranging internal and external meetings
·Maintaining office systems, including database management, filing etc
·Uphold company standards in line with Quality Assurance procedure
Person specification
Qualifications & Experience
·Completed degree or training with relevant in-role experience.
·Building Surveying degree accredited by RICS or CIOB
·Prior experience in Education/Academies sector is advantageous
·Competent in Microsoft package software including (Word, Excel & Outlook, Power Point)
·Progressing towards getting chartered MRICS/ COIB (great support provided) (senior to be MRICS or CIOB)
·Full driving licence with access to personal transport
·You will be required to complete a DBS background check
