The Role
* Provide support to the Head of SOC UK for the technical execution of Security Operations Center (SOC) services, ensuring efficient and effective delivery.
* Assist with facility management and employee lifecycle processes (onboarding/offboarding) delegated by the Head of SOC and Line Managers.
* Collaborate with operational leads across MSS Teams and regions to implement industry best practices and standardized protocols.
* Maintain, improve, and refine SOC processes at all operational levels to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
* Ensure SOC teams operate in accordance with Airbus Protect activities, the Airbus Protect Business Management System (BMS), and project lifecycles.
* Partner with the Bid Team to provide SME input and technical responses for new business opportunities.
* Support the Service Owner in developing accurate work breakdown structures for SOC services.
* Act as the primary SOC Technical Advisor when designated, guiding SOC Technical Leads and MSS Service Owners.
* Serve as the technical interface with the customer.
* Manage SOC tooling utilization and escalate technical issues to the Security Operations Engineering (SOE) team, providing detailed capacity or performance information.
* Mentor team members through knowledge sharing, guides, and incident scenarios; develop knowledge across supporting areas as needed.
* Develop systems to track and report on service and operational KPIs and SLAs.
* Support R&D activities proactively.
* Collaborate with departments like CSIRT and Service Management to align SOC operations with organizational goals.
* Lead mentoring of SOC team members to ensure they have the necessary skills for excellent customer outcomes.
* Manage operational escalations promptly and effectively.
* Support Level 1/2 technical or procedural escalations as needed.
* Coordinate SOC support to the Incident Response Centre when capacity or complex incidents require assistance.
* Lead Blue Team Exercises.
Are you THE one?
* Experience in high-pressure environments.
* Strong cybersecurity and networking knowledge.
* Certifications: SANS SEC503, SEC504 (or equivalent).
* Knowledge in Threat Intelligence and Threat Hunting.
* Ability to present and write professional reports for stakeholders.
* Good time management and teamwork skills.
* Open-minded, dynamic, adaptable, well-organized.
* Team spirit, autonomy, and good communication skills.
