Position: Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)
Location: West Drayton, Greater London
Salary: 100 - 120 per day
Contract: Full-Time, Temporary
Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant ready to take the next step in your career? We are looking for a dedicated HLTA to join a fantastic SEN primary school in West Drayton, supporting students with additional learning needs and helping to deliver high-quality education.
The Role
As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, You Will
* Support the planning and delivery of lessons across the curriculum, working closely with the class teacher.
* Provide targeted one-to-one and small group support to students with special educational needs.
* Cover lessons in the teacher's absence, ensuring continuity in learning and engagement.
* Assist with the development and implementation of individual education plans (IEPs) to meet student needs.
* Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages independence and confidence in students.
* Support students with communication, sensory, and behavioral challenges using tailored strategies.
About You
To succeed as a HLTA, you will:
* Have experience as a Teaching Assistant, preferably within an SEN setting.
* Hold an HLTA qualification or equivalent experience.
* Be confident in leading small group activities and covering lessons when needed.
* Have excellent communication, teamwork, and classroom management skills.
* Be passionate about supporting students with additional needs and helping them reach their full potential.
* Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
