Learning Support Assistant – Portsmouth
Full Time | Permanent | Immediate Start | £13.68 per hour
GSL Education are recruiting for a committed and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join a mainstream secondary school in Portsmouth. This is a full-time role supporting students across the school to ensure they have the best possible learning experience.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support students in and out of the classroom, both 1-to-1 and in small groups.
* Help pupils develop confidence, independence, and a positive attitude to learning.
* Assist teachers with lesson delivery and classroom management.
* Encourage and support students’ academic and social progress.
* Uphold safeguarding and school policies at all times.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
* Have some experience working with young people or in a support role.
* Be proactive, adaptable, and patient.
* Build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
* Be passionate about helping every student achieve their potential.
