Working Hours: Monday to Thursday, 9:30 am - 6:00 pm, Friday 9:30 am - 5:00 pm (1-hour lunch break)

* A family of patent-pending satellite potting compounds offering the lowest density on the market and designed for automated production
The company has entered a period of high growth and is seeking a strategically driven Commercial Director to help bring its next-generation materials and products to market.
Role Summary
You will be working closely with the Executive Director across the commercial and strategic leadership of the company.
You will lead the company’s business development function to drive revenue growth and profitability. You will engage with clients, prospective customers and partners, and will secure new relationships across the company’s target sectors.
You will deputise for the Executive Director on commercial and operational issues. This will include working with production partners, the supply chain as well as general company management.
You will have substantial influence on the evolution of the company, including having oversight of administrative processes, talent acquisition, and continuous operational improvements.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the company’s business development and commercial activities regarding quadcopter UAVs, composites, advanced resins and adhesives
* Identify, approach, and secure B2B sales opportunities.
* Build and negotiate strategic partnerships, licensing, and distribution deals.
* Provide board-level input and commercial insight to support strategic decision-making.
* Work closely with the technical team to align market needs with product development.
* Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and client meetings, and coordinate the creation of relevant marketing material.
* Deputise for the Executive Director with operational, administrative and strategic management of the company
Ideal Candidate Profile
* 5+ years of director-level experience
* A scientific or technical engineering background
* Proven track record in B2B sales, commercial deal-making, and business development.
* Experience operating at a strategic or board level within a high-tech or materials-related business.
* Familiarity with launching innovative or patent-protected technologies.
* Willingness to travel within the UK and internationally
* Exposure to one or more of the following industries:
* Automotive (including Electric Vehicles)
* Aerospace
* Space
* Defence
