Were looking for enthusiastic, passionateChefs of all levelsto join our kitchen team atThe Greyhound a newly opened community-focused pub in the heart of Bristol.

Part of an independent and growing hospitality group, The Greyhound is a welcoming neighbourhood pub with a strong food offering, a cosy function room, and a commitment to great service and local connection. As we expand across the city, were building a dedicated and talented team to grow with us and that starts with you.

What Youll Be Doing:

As a Chef at The Greyhound, youll play a key role in preparing and serving high-quality, fresh food under the guidance of our Executive Chef. Whether youre just starting your kitchen career or bring years of experience, youll be supported to develop your skills and take pride in the food you help create.

Youll also have the opportunity to contribute across our group including The Crown Bar & Venue, Really Good Burgers and The Colosseum and work with a team that values creativity, consistency, and collaboration.

Your Key Responsibilities:

* Cook and present dishes to a high standard:Prepare meals from scratch using fresh ingredients, following recipes and specifications to ensure consistent quality, taste, and presentation across every dish.
* Support menu development and innovation:Share ideas and give input on seasonal specials, pub classics and small plate options, working closely with senior chefs to help evolve our food offering.
* Maintain high food hygiene and safety standards:Adhere to all food safety procedures and legal requirements, including temperature checks, allergen awareness, and maintaining clean, compliant prep and storage areas.
* Keep the kitchen clean, organised and well-stocked:Help manage stock rotation, minimise waste, and keep workspaces tidy and efficient to ensure smooth service throughout the day.
* Work as part of a supportive, hard-working team:Communicate clearly and respectfully with colleagues, helping to build a positive kitchen culture that thrives under pressure and celebrates success.
* Contribute to training and continuous improvement:Learn from more experienced team members and, if appropriate, support junior staff by sharing knowledge and leading by example.

Were Looking For People Who:

* Bring a positive, proactive attitude to the kitchen:You care about the food you serve and are always looking to improve your skills, solve problems, and take pride in your work.
* Have kitchen experience or a willingness to learn fast:Ideally you have anNVQ Level 2(or similar experience), but were open to hearing from ambitious people looking to take the next step in their career.
* Understand the importance of food safety and compliance:You already have aLevel 2 Food Hygiene Certificate, or are happy to complete it before starting, and can be trusted to work safely and responsibly at all times.
* Are flexible and reliable when it comes to shifts:The Greyhound operates seven days a week, so availability for evenings and weekends is important though well always aim to be fair and accommodating with your rota.
* Are looking to grow within a supportive hospitality group:With new venues in development, this is a chance to join early and build your future with a team that values internal progression and skill development.
