Responsibilities
- Participate in ward rounds, outpatient clinics, and assist in elective and trauma theatres
- Fast track patients through diagnosis, initiate investigations, and provide initial management and treatment plans for orthopaedic issues
- Triage T&O patients to improve decision‑making in clinic, admission, or further referral management
- Participate in clinical governance programme including appraisal, audit, research projects leading to publications
- Participate in on‑call rotation and quality improvement projects
- Teach and support junior staff and lead other junior doctors under consultant supervision
Qualifications
- MBBS/MRCS and GMC Registration
- Good written and communication skills
- Work experience at the middle grade level or substantial experience at SHO level
- Higher Degree
- Experience of managing emergency surgical patients
- Ability to motivate and develop junior medical staff and use own initiative
