We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Early Years Officer to join our dynamic Early Years team. We are a diverse, vibrant borough where creativity and innovation are not just encouraged - they are expected.
About the Role
As an Early Years Officer, you will:
* Support early years providers to deliver outstanding care and education across the borough.
* Drive improvements in teaching and learning for children aged 0-5.
* Work with nurseries, preschools, and childminders to raise the quality of provision.
* Promote inclusive practice and ensure all children, especially the most vulnerable, are given every opportunity to thrive.
You'll be working in close partnership with schools, private, voluntary, and independent (PVI) settings, and childminders - providing expert guidance, training, and challenge to help them meet and exceed Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) standards.
About You
We're looking for someone who:
* Has a strong track record of working in early years settings or services
* Holds a relevant Level 6 qualification or equivalent (e.g., EYTS, EYPS, QTS)
* Understands how to support high-quality early learning and development
* Is confident delivering training and building relationships with a wide range of providers
* Is passionate about inclusion and ensuring the best outcomes for all children
