Location: Bestwood Village School, Nottingham NG6 8TL
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Salary: Up to £41,000 per annum dependent on experience
Contract: Permanent; Term Time only
Start Date: October 2025
This role delivers inclusive, responsive teaching within the English curriculum and oversees the English curriculum across the whole school. You will have a tutor group responsibility, including wellbeing, PSHE and Skills lessons with that group. The position is held within Options Autism, part of Outcomes First Group.
Responsibilities
* Deliver inclusive, responsive and innovative teaching and learning in English
* Plan and prepare long-term and medium-term plans; set and assess work
* Create a purposeful learning environment; teach to meet individual educational needs
* Teach engaging lessons designed to raise attainment
* Oversee the English curriculum across the school and support tutor groups
* Contribute to safeguarding and compliance with school policies under the Headteacher and Senior Leadership Team
Qualifications
* Essential: Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent
* Relevant training in SEN
