We are looking for an experienced people leader who can lead and support staff to embed our over-arching organisational strategy Hōkai Rangi, which expresses our commitment to delivering great outcomes for the people in our management and their whānau.The Manager Industries is responsible for managing internal and external stakeholder relationships, employment and reintegrative activities for the people in prison, and working collaboratively to train and upskill people in prison to support their reintegration and transition into employment upon release.In this role you will lead an expert team of Principal Instructors and Instructors who work across a range of industry focused areas including Engineering, Primary Industries/Farming/Piggery, Internal Services and Catering/Laundry, with the kitchen providing essential services to the prison 365 days per year. Throughout all these areas and more, the goal is to provide valued training, education and industry relevant skills to the men in prison. The Manager Industries will manage each industry specific environment, as well as health and safety, risk/issue management, and be responsible for budget management.**Mōu | About you**We're looking for a visible, values driven leader who inspires through action and sets the tone for their team. You'll have a proven ability to influence positive change, manage conflict constructively, and support the delivery of meaningful outcomes, particularly in enabling skill development that supports employment post release.**Ngā painga | The benefits**The salary applicable for this role is Scale B1 of the Frontline Managers Collective which is $112,899 ($116,286 from July 2026).
