Join the Wastewater Operations East Team, leading a team focused on providing vital wastewater services in the East region, supporting our compliance mission in the Tayside North area, covering parts of Perthshire, Angus, Dundee, and Aberdeenshire.
What you’ll do
Lead a team to utilize their operational knowledge to deliver compliant wastewater treatment works, promote best practices in Health and Safety, Compliance, and Wastewater performance. Guide your team through Transformation and Change initiatives, ensuring they understand and are supported throughout the process.
Collaborate with other areas within wastewater operations and develop improvements with key stakeholders across H&S, EPA, ICC, E&M, finance, DV2, and our supply chain contractors.
This role also requires you to:
* Develop a positive health, safety, and wellbeing culture, embedding tools such as Take5, Everyday Safety Behaviours, Fatigue App, Life Saving Rules, and Risk Assessments.
* Support Zero Failing Works by reviewing performance, analyzing trends, identifying risks, and taking timely actions.
* Ensure wastewater treatment works have zero Category 1/2 EPIs.
* Ensure efficiency and improvement actions are implemented, including ISO standards, fire risk assessments, chemical optimization, and audit actions.
* Support capital project development and delivery.
* Act as PRC to deliver repair and maintenance requirements.
* Manage services within budget and support 1% OPEX savings.

Essential Skills, Knowledge, and Experience
* Proven results in a fast-paced, challenging environment.
* High energy, motivation, and ability to manage multiple issues simultaneously.
* Experience in driving high standards in Health, Safety, and Wastewater.
* Strong communication and presentation skills.
* Data analytics skills, including proficiency with systems like PowerBI, Telemetry, and Excel.
* Leadership qualities and a passion for continuous improvement.
* Experience in delivering and embedding change with visible improvements.
* Team-oriented, motivating, and enabling team members in a dynamic setting.

Role Details
This is a Grade 7 position with a starting salary of £41,000, progressing to £51,970 based on performance. Applications close at midnight on 14th May. Offers are conditional, pending pre-employment checks.
