We are looking for a Theatre Scheduling Co-ordinator to join our team. You'll have excellent organisational skills and a meticulous eye for detail. You must be a great communicator and be able to work to strict deadlines. This role is for 3 days per week, working Wednesday – Friday to meet service demand.
Main duties of the job
Reporting into the Senior Service Manager, the post holder will be responsible for the day to day co‑ordination of the Theatre schedule, proactively monitoring and managing the utilisation and performance of the theatres to agreed levels of utilisation and productivity.
The post holder will also be expected to collect daily audit data and document for further analysis as part of the Theatre management process and to ensure that at all times adequate focus is given to utilisation, productivity and starting lists on time.
The post holder will also be expected to ensure that the Theatre Management System information is entered accurately and in a timely manner and that any changes to schedule or resource is amended accordingly within the Theatre Management System.
Knowledge of theatre admissions, patient flow and working in multi‑disciplinary teams is desirable.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* GCSE Level or equivalent, Maths and English Language
* NVQ Level 3 in Administration or equivalent
Experience
* Experience of providing a service to patients or customers
* Experience of using electronic systems
* Proven experience of working to deadlines
* Relevant experience of working within an acute hospital setting
* Experience of Electronic Patient Record systems such as ORMIS / Lorenzo
* Previous experience of working in/around the 18 week referral to treatment target
* Experience of working with Multi Disciplinary Teams
Communication and Interpersonal Skills
* Skilled in the use of bespoke Theatre Management System
* Good organisational skills and prioritisation skills
* Ability to communicate effectively at all levels
* Ability to provide training for others on the Theatre Management System
* Knowledge of the elective booking & scheduling processes within the acute trust
