£159,600 per annum Located in Royston, Hertfordshire, within a purpose-built facility and spacious grounds, Priory Hospital Kneesworth House is a level 2 rehabilitation service, which provides a range of specialist recovery pathways, all at one site.
The location has good transport connections, making it easy to travel locally and to nearby cities. Public transport is easily accessible with both bus and train services nearby, while major towns and cities such as Royston, Cambridge, and London can all be reached within a reasonable driving distance. There is also convenient access to the M11 motorway, making commuting and travel to surrounding areas straightforward.
What you’ll be doing In this role, you will play a key part in patient recovery, supporting the assessment and delivery of tailored treatment plans while ensuring dignity, respect, and high standards of care.
Taking clinical responsibility for patients, including multidisciplinary ward rounds, risk reviews, strategic reviews and the development of a therapeutic milieu.
Fulfilling the role of Responsible Clinician to patients detained under the Mental Health Act (1983).
Supervising the process of referral and admission, including contributing to preadmission assessments of young people with other team members.
Offering a psychiatric perspective to the multidisciplinary team in relation to the assessment, formulation and treatment of adults.
Contributing to management meetings and clinical governance meetings for the services provided at the hospital, and contributing to the development of service strategy.
What you’ll bring to the role Essential
MRCPsych (or equivalent)
CCT (or equivalent) and inclusion on the GMC Specialist Register
Section 12(2) approval and Approved Clinician status
