Job Title: Independent Reviewing Officer
Length of assignment: 3 Months
Hourly rate: £38
Location: Darby House
Remote/Office based: Hybrid
Responsibilities:
1. Review plans for children and young people who are in need of protection, in the care of the Council, or who are Care Leavers.
2. Provide effective independent oversight of children’s care.
3. Monitor the performance by the Local Authority of their functions in relation to children’s cases and challenge poor practice where necessary.
4. This post is a designated Child Protection Conference Chair & Independent Reviewing Officer responsible for delivering an element of the service.
5. Support the Council’s vision and priorities both internally and externally.
6. Assist the Team Manager in planning team and service objectives, and identify resource issues.
7. Ensure that the team and service meet their objectives and targets within agreed timeframes, delivering standards that achieve equality of opportunity.
