Our client, a leading Trade Association based in Southwark, Central London, is seeking a Head of Membership Engagement to join their team.

The Role of Head of Membership Engagement
Reporting to the Executive Director, the postholder will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies for membership engagement, recruitment, and retention to ensure the organization continues to:
* Deliver excellent support to members
* Retain current members
* Recruit new members
Responsibilities
* Review and enhance current membership engagement, recruitment, and retention strategies
* Build and maintain relationships with members at a senior level
* Identify potential members and develop a growth strategy targeting the UK market
* Engage with existing and prospective members at CEO/Executive level
* Communicate the benefits of membership effectively
* Handle inquiries about member benefits
* Improve processes and systems to enhance the member experience
* Create feedback mechanisms and collaborate across teams
* Design and execute an annual Membership Survey
* Manage membership applications and renewals, including collaboration with the Finance Director
* Oversee meeting logistics and record accurate minutes
* Promote member activities via website, communications, and resources
Person Specification – Knowledge and Experience
* Significant experience in growing memberships and managing membership services within relevant organizations
* Experience in administrative process improvement
* Strategic planning and business development skills
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills at senior levels
* Experience managing CRM databases
The role requires strong networking and teamwork skills, with attendance at events across England and Wales. While primarily based in London, flexibility for travel is essential.
