Maintenance Technician (Mechanical Bias) Location: Knowsley Industrial Estate, Liverpool (L33) Pay Rate: £16.11 per hour Shift Allowance Shifts: Early & Late Rotating | Monday–Friday Every Other Saturday Contract Length: Until 28/12/2026 We are recruiting for a skilled Maintenance Technician (Mechanical Bias) to join a busy waste and materials handling facility based in the Knowsley Industrial Estate. This role is ideal for someone with solid mechanical maintenance experience looking for a long-term position within an established industrial site. The Role Working as part of the onsite maintenance team, your duties will include: * Mechanical maintenance, repair and inspection of plant and equipment * Identifying faults and carrying out preventative and corrective maintenance * Supporting general site upkeep to ensure safe and efficient operations * Working across rotating early and late shifts (06:00–14:00 & 14:00–22:00) * Working every other Saturday (06:00–14:00) as part of the rota * Following all site safety procedures and maintaining compliance standards Requirements * Proven mechanical maintenance experience (industrial, engineering, plant, or similar) * Ability to work safely within an operational site environment * Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills * Reliable, punctual, and able to work rotating shifts * Good communication and teamwork Pay & Hours * Base Rate: £16.11 per hour * Shift Allowance: x1.1333 applied * Shifts: * 06:00–14:00 * 14:00–22:00 * Pattern: Monday–Friday every other Saturday (06:00–14:00)
