Full-Time KS4 Tutor - Alternative Provision

A specialist Alternative Provision in Salford is seeking a dedicated and resilient KS4 Tutor to join their team on a full-time basis.
This is a rewarding opportunity to work with pupils in Years 10-11 who require additional support to re-engage with education. The provision supports young people with a range of needs, including SEMH, behavioural challenges, and disrupted educational experiences.
The Role:
Deliver tailored 1:1 and small group tuition to KS4 pupils
Support GCSE progress in core subjects (English and Maths essential)
Plan and adapt lessons to meet individual learning needs
Build positive, professional relationships to promote engagement
Support pupils to develop confidence, resilience, and academic skills
Work collaboratively with teaching staff, pastoral teams, and external professionals
The Ideal Candidate Will:
Have experience working with KS4 students
Be confident delivering GCSE-level English and/or Maths
Have experience in alternative provisions, PRUs, or SEMH settings (desirable)
Demonstrate strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills
Be patient, empathetic, and consistent in approach
Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to obtain one)
