About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Cover Supervisor to join a well:regarded secondary school in Leeds. This is a full:time, long:term position, starting immediately. The role is a fantastic opportunity for an individual with strong interpersonal skills and a passion for working with young people. As a Cover Supervisor, you will be a vital part of the schools daily operations, ensuring a consistent and productive learning environment for students during short:term teacher absences. You will not be responsible for lesson planning or marking, but instead, you will focus on managing the classroom, supervising pre:prepared work, and maintaining a positive and focused atmosphere. This role is a brilliant stepping stone for aspiring teachers or for anyone with experience working with young people who wants to take on a new challenge.

Requirements
* Previous experience working with young people, ideally in an educational setting.
* A genuine passion for education and supporting young peoples learning.
* Eligibility to work in the UK.
* Enhanced Child DBS on the updated service (Willingness for one)

* Strong classroom management and behaviour management abilities.
* Adaptability and flexibility to work across different subjects and year groups.

Key Responsibilities
* Supervising pre:set work and ensuring students remain on task.
* Managing classroom behaviour in line with the schools policies.
* Responding to student questions and providing support with given tasks.
* Promoting a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment.
* Collecting completed work and returning it to the appropriate teacher.
* Recording and reporting student attendance.
* Providing feedback to teachers on student progress and behaviour.
* Dealing with immediate problems or emergencies in the classroom.
* Upholding the schools safeguarding and child protection policies.
* Collaborating with other staff, including teaching assistants, to support students.
