Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Chef to work along side our head chef during lunch hours throughout the week and evenings when necessary. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food production and preparation, with a focus on quality, presentation, and food safety. This role requires confidence within a kitchen environment and previous experience working with a traditional menu.
Responsibilities
* Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food preparation and presentation.
* Work well as a team member
* Develop and implement innovative menu items within the budget that reflect seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
* Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
* Manage inventory, ordering supplies, and minimising waste to optimise kitchen efficiency.
* Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
* Monitor food production processes to ensure consistency and quality across all dishes.
* Handle any customer feedback or complaints regarding food quality or service promptly and professionally.
Qualifications
* Proven experience as a Chef in a restaurant or hospitality setting, with strong culinary skills.
* Supervising experience in a kitchen environment is essential.
* Comprehensive knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
* Excellent leadership abilities with a focus on team management and development.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
* A passion for cooking and creativity in food preparation is highly desirable.
