Are you an experienced Project Engineer looking to take ownership of exciting, turnkey engineering projects from concept to completion?

The Role
As a Project Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering bespoke and standard materials handling systems that meet the highest technical and quality standards. Working closely with clients, suppliers and internal teams, you will ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to specification.
This is a hands-on, engineering-driven position that spans the full project lifecycle — from sales handover through design, procurement, build, installation and customer handover.
Key Responsibilities:
* Producing 3D models and detailed 2D drawings for plant layouts and general arrangements.
* Managing project schedules, budgets and procurement.
* Delivery of multiple projects to time plans, cost, quality and safety
* Manage all stages: design, procurement, 3rd party equipment selection, subcontractor management, build, testing, and customer handover.
* Provide regular project updates and maintain strong communication with customers.
* Ensure projects are delivered to specification, on time and within budget.
* Manage risk and customer expectations
* Work closely with internal teams to ensure engineering and commercial alignment.
* Support commissioning and customer acceptance on site as required.
About You
We are looking for a proactive, organised candidate with strong technical and project management skills.
Essential:
* 5–10 years’ experience managing or coordinating capital equipment or turnkey engineering projects, preferably materials handling, conveying or process systems.
* Demonstrated ability to deliver on time, on budget and to high customer satisfaction.
* Engineering qualification/technical background
* Confident interpreting engineering drawings/technical specifications.
* Strong CAD skills (3D and 2D design).
* Familiarity with ISO9001, ATEX, the Machinery Directive, and related industry standards.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
* Willingness to travel to customer sites in the UK and occasionally overseas.
* Full UK driving licence
Desirable:
* Background in powder handling, bulk solids, process equipment, or related capital machinery.
