About the role of Senior Quantity Surveyor
This is an opportunity to join one of the UKs leading Main contractors who have gone from strength to strength over the past 4 years. As Senior Surveyor you will be the overall commercial no 1 on a £100m university cut & carve refurbishment project under JCT contract with Passivhaus and sustainable elements reusing the original building structure to rebuild. You will be working as part of a commercial team based on site managing the full up and downstream process from procurement and full client side responsibility. The project will be starting on site in September and runs for approx 2 years. This is a full time site based position.
Requirements for Senior Quantity Surveyor:
The company are looking for a candidate who has strong negotiation and communication skills, is organised and has high attention to detail. You will come from a Main contractor background, and be competent in managing the upstream and full commercial process. You will be highly motivated and ambitious as there is opportunity to progress your career with the team.
* Degree in a construction related subject
* Minimum of 10 years experience with another main contractor
* Experience leading projects over £70m
* Ideally Cut and Carve knowledge/experience
* PCSA and 2 Stage tender experience - essential
