Gleesons has partnered with a Global Freight Forwarder looking for a Freight Account Manager for their Road Division.
The client is seeking a professional eager to grow within a customer-driven business. You will manage your accounts and develop relationships with clients and forwarders.
Job Title: Road Freight Account Manager
Location: Southampton
Salary: £35,000 - £50,000 + Package
Package: Company Car + Commission
Duties:
* Build and manage a portfolio of customers within your assigned territory, focusing on long-term growth and retention.
* Identify new sales opportunities using the company's CRM system and market intelligence.
* Conduct outbound telesales to profile and qualify potential clients, leveraging the company's product suite.
* Schedule and attend face-to-face meetings with prospective clients, presenting tailored proposals and quotations.
* Take full ownership of your accounts, aiming to grow volume and establish the business as the preferred or sole supplier.
* Maintain regular contact with customers to ensure satisfaction, resolve issues, and identify further opportunities.
* Secure new business and expand relationships, transitioning clients to the internal customer service team once onboarded.
Ideal Candidate:
* Experience in Freight Account Management
* Road Freight Experience
* Proven track record of account growth, both new and existing
* Client-focused approach
