Are you a strategic thinker, passionate writer or designer, and innovative brand builder? eBay is looking for an Associate Creative Director (ACD) to help shape and evolve our brand across digital channels. This is a pivotal role on a growing team, responsible for setting creative standards, developing campaign concepts, and delivering breakthrough brand experiences for eBay across the marketing funnel. You'll lead cross-functional creative initiatives, collaborate with internal and external partners, help define how our brand shows up during key shopping and selling moments, and guide creative agencies and a small EU creative team in shaping creative for eBay. You\'ll ensure everything ladders to our brand playbook and strategic throughlines. We\'re seeking someone with a strong creative vision, exceptional storytelling skills, and a passion for crafting customer-centric brand experiences. What you will accomplish:
Responsibilities
* Guide Creative Campaigns: Oversee external agencies in building high-impact creative campaigns that support brand marketing, social initiatives, and strategic partnerships.
* Inspire and Guide: Mentor a small creative team in maintaining a high bar for creative excellence, innovation, and brand consistency.
* Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work with internal teams and external agencies to understand briefs, shape strategy, and ensure top-quality creative execution.
* Safeguard Brand Standards: Maintain brand guidelines rooted in our playbook, and elevate the visual identity of eBay through bold, thumb-stopping creative work.
* Pitch & Present Ideas: Communicate ideas clearly and confidently through compelling narratives and visual storytelling for in-house projects.
* Stay Culturally Relevant: Keep up with industry trends, design innovation, and cultural shifts to inform and inspire fresh creative approaches.
* 8+ years in a creative leadership role (ACD, Art Director, Design Lead) at a creative agency or within a major brand.
* Proven experience leading digital-first campaigns across platforms: desktop, mobile, social, and display.
* A standout portfolio showcasing a wide range of creative work—from concept through execution—for high-profile brands.
* Strong skills in art and copy direction, with the ability to lead both disciplines collaboratively.
* Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Photoshop and Illustrator.
* Bachelor\'s degree in Graphic Design, Communication Design, New Media, or a related field.
