An international organisation operating in high-growth markets is looking for a Direct Category Manager with generalist experience across direct engineering categories and similar to join its London-based team. This role offers the opportunity to shape strategic sourcing and supplier management within a dynamic and evolving sector.
Your new role
1. Develop and implement category management strategies
2. Lead sourcing activities, market engagement, and supplier selection
3. Internal stakeholder management, design to cost
4. Negotiatemercial and contractual agreements
5. Drive supplier performance and relationship management initiatives
6. Oversee improvement plans and rmend interventions
What you'll need to succeed
7. Generalist procurement experience with strong engineering / build category management exposure
8. Proven experience in contract development and supplier relationship management
9. Operational experience in diverse or developing markets
10. Industry experience in technology or infrastructure is advantageous.
11. Strong stakeholder engagement
12. Design-to-Cost approach (essential)
13. CIPS or equivalent qualification
14. Financial and performance reporting
15. Project management experience
