About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic Senior Civil Engineering Technician to support our Digital Design and Modelling team. This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of projects in sectors such as education, commercial, industrial, residential, health, rail, infrastructure, energy, and waste. The position involves preparing and delivering technical design information, with flexibility to work remotely or from the office.
Responsibilities
1. Preparing detailed Civil Engineering drawings using CAD / Civils 3D / Site 3D / Vehicle Tracking
2. Managing highways adoption applications (Section 38 / 278)
3. Handling Water Authority adoption applications (Section 104 / 106)
4. Designing drainage systems, including SuDS features
5. Designing road alignments and corridors
6. Conducting site-wide cut and fill analysis
7. Collaborating with internal and external design team members
8. Communicating with contractors, clients, and stakeholders regarding technical details
9. Occasional site visits for surveys and inspections
10. Ensuring adherence to quality procedures
11. Mentoring junior staff
12. Complying with CDM Regulations
Minimum Qualifications and Skills
1. Ambition, commitment, and integrity
2. At least 10 years of experience working on infrastructure, highways, drainage, or heavy civils projects
3. Proficiency in Civils 3D / Site 3D and Autodesk software
4. Experience with Causeway Flow drainage software
5. Knowledge of SuDS design
6. Experience with highway and water authority adoption applications
7. Expertise in road alignments, corridor design, and cut & fill analysis
8. Proficiency with vehicle tracking software
9. Client-focused approach with strong communication skills
10. Attention to detail
11. UK driving license and own transport
12. Competency in Microsoft Office suite
13. Excellent written and spoken English
14. Based in the UK
