Key Responsibilities
* Perform quality control inspections for piping works including fabrication, erection, fit-up, and welding activities
* Ensure compliance with project specifications, drawings, and international standards
* Conduct visual inspections (fit-up, welding, dimensional checks) and coordinate NDT activities (RT, UT, MT, PT)
* Monitor material traceability and ensure correct material usage (MTC, heat numbers, tagging)
* Prepare and review QA/QC documentation such as ITPs, Method Statements, inspection reports, and NCRs
* Identify non-conformities and follow up on corrective actions
Weld Log & Data Management Responsibilities
* Prepare, update, and maintain weld logs in accordance with project requirements
* Record and track all weld joints including joint numbers, welder IDs, WPS details, and NDT results
* Ensure accurate entry of weld data into project systems/databases
* Coordinate with welding inspectors, NDT teams, and construction teams to ensure data accuracy
* Monitor weld repair rates and provide reports when required
* Ensure full traceability between weld maps, isometrics, and inspection records
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
* Minimum 3–5 years of experience in piping QA/QC within industrial projects (oil & gas, petrochemical, energy, etc.)
* Experience in welding inspection and documentation
* Familiarity with weld log systems and data tracking tools (Excel or specialized software)
* Ability to read and interpret isometric drawings and P&IDs
* Good command of English (preferred)
* Proficiency in MS Office
Preferred Qualifications
* CSWIP 3.1 / 3.2 or equivalent welding inspector certification
* Experience in large-scale EPC projects
