Consultant in Stroke Medicine (5 PAs Available)
Applications are invited for this position within the Stroke team at Ninewells Hospital and Medical School, Dundee, NHS Tayside.
Responsibilities
* Lead and develop the Stroke Service, including the Hyper Acute Stroke Unit and the phased introduction of the 24/7 Thrombectomy Centre.
* Participate in the evening on‑call rota for the Stroke Service and contribute to the Acute Medical Unit rota.
* Take part in postgraduate training and education and engage in research and quality improvement projects.
* Collaborate with Interventional Radiology colleagues to deliver innovative care.
* Work across the health and care system to develop new rehabilitation pathways.
Qualifications
* MRCP and GMC Specialist Register in Stroke Medicine and General Medicine, or within 6 months of the anticipated award of CCT, or possessing CESR (CP) at the time of interview.
* Vacancies for less than full time applications are considered.
Working Hours
20 hours per week (5 PAs).
Location
Ninewells Hospital and Medical School, Dundee.
