Overview
Applications are invited for the post of Specialty Doctor within the Integrated Breast Service at University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust. This is a full-time 10 PA position. Closing date: 16 November 2025.
Responsibilities
The post will focus on providing direct clinical care and meeting service delivery requirements in out-patient clinics, surgical duties/lists, and MDT meetings. It includes delivering appropriate teaching, training and supervision of other members of staff, and opportunities to undertake wider professional activities and additional NHS responsibilities such as management roles.

Person Specification
Experience / Qualifications
* Full GMC Registration with a licence to practice
* Four years post-graduation - foundation year training completed
* Experience in breast surgery
Clinical Skills and Experience
* Evidence of experience in all aspects of breast assessment, diagnosis with interpretation of investigations
* Evidence of having undertaken own development to improve understanding of equalities issues
* Experience of breast surgery
Knowledge
* Breadth of experience in and outside specialty
Organisation and Planning
* Experience and ability to work in multi-professional teams
* Evidence of managerial skills: Achievements / Course attended
Teaching Skills
* Evidence of an interest and commitment to teaching
* Recognised teaching qualification
Academic and Research
* Evidence of participation in audit
* Research experience
* Publications
* Prizes and honours
* Appropriate progression of career to date
Personal Attributes
* Evidence of good communication skills both oral and written
