To provide support to the medical secretarial team withday-to-day tasks. Liaising with the patients and health care professionals aswell as providing administrative support to the managerial, clinical andnon-clinical team
To support the Practice Manager, Management Team, Doctors,and Health Professionals assisting them in achieving their objectives and toliaise with all relevant and appropriate services.

Successful candidates and there immediate household cannot be patients of Hightown Surgery. If you and your immediate family are Hightown patients and you join the practice team you and your household will be expected to move to another GP practice to ensure confidentiality and conflicts of interest are maintained.
Main duties of the job
Youwill be responsible for creating clinical letters, answering telephoneenquiries and dealing with patient queries, as well as covering the MedicalSecretary during periods of absence.
Thesuccessful candidate will be required to have good organisational skills, withthe ability to prioritise the demands of a busy office and manage their timeand workload effectively.
Theywill also be required to work unsupervised and communicate with GP's, Locumsand other clinical members of staff on a regular basis.
Duties may be varied from time to time underthe direction of the Practice Management Team, dependent on current andevolving Practice workload and staffing levels such as supportingannual vaccination and healthcare campaigns

Person Specification
Qualifications
* GCSE grade A to C in English and Maths.
* Computer Literacy. Competent in Microsoft packages - Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams.
* Excellent communication skills. Both written and verbal to interact effectively with patients, colleagues and other healthcare professionals.
* Organisational skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise effectively and maintain accurate records.
* Confidentiality.
* Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities, duties and work pattern where necessary (e.g. cover absence).
* Customer Service Skills. Experience dealing with patients or the general public. Providing a positive and helpful experience for patients and practice staff members.
* Teamwork. Working effectively with colleagues to support patient care and practice management and administration teams.
* Live within commutable distance of Banbury.
* Able to work likely work pattern.
* Previous administrative work in General Practice/Health Care Sector.
* Ability to touch type and note take at meetings would be an advantage.
