About the role
Gap Technical are proud to be representing this global manufacturing business in their search for a Metal Polisher / Finisher to work at their facility based near Hatfield / Welwyn Garden City.
Responsibilities
* Responsible for ensuring specific polishing trimming operations are carried out.
* Fully competent in grinding, drilling, punching and using band saws.
* Experience in using measuring equipment such as Vernier callipers/protractors & micrometers.
* Ensure that work is conducted in a safe environment according to safe practices - report deviation from H&S good practice immediately.
Person Specification
* Some basic self-inspection required.
* Health & Safety Training.
* Knowledge of polishing lathes and various polishing equipment.
* Knowledge of Health & Safety requirements relating to polishing and spraying machines.
* Experience in a Metal Polishing / Trimming working environment.
