Overview
We have an exciting opportunity for a Healthcare Assistant to join the Primary Care team at HMP Oakwood, a category C prison located in Featherstone, approximately 5 miles outside of Wolverhampton.
Responsibilities
* Support the registered nurse in implementing an agreed plan of care in association with the patient and in accordance with instructions and training received whilst promoting safe patient care
* Be willing to develop and apply new skills to maintain and enhance clinical service delivery
* This position is full time
* What you’ll be doing: as a Healthcare Assistant, your responsibilities will vary
Qualifications and Requirements
* NVQ level 3 or equivalent in Health and Social Care
* A non-judgmental and compassionate approach
* Excellent communication skills
* Good IT skills and IT literacy
* Ability to work within a busy environment
* Ability to work unsupervised whilst following policy and procedures
* Although not essential, ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community or prison environment
* Candidates are required to have a Legal right to work in the UK; offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checks

This position is full time, you'll receive an annual salary of £24,669 - £28,690 depending on experience.
