Key Responsibilities:
* Technology Influence Development: Monitor key trends in transformative technologies (e.g., GenAI, quantum, fusion, decarbonization, etc.) and establish Tencent’s thought leadership globally. Produce sector analysis to inform investment decisions.
* Collaborate with Global Public Affairs, R&D, investment, and business teams to communicate complex technical concepts strategically, reinforcing Tencent’s innovation leadership.
* Investment & Strategic Communications: Showcase Tencent’s global investments and collaborations, build relationships with universities, venture capital firms, and policymakers to foster partnerships, and explore potential career transition into investment.
Qualifications:
* Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in STEM (Master’s or PhD preferred) or deep expertise in frontier technology fields.
* Professional Experience (choose one):
o 3-5 years in technology-focused roles at top consulting firms (e.g., McKinsey, BCG), leading industry white papers.
o Strong research background in investment banking or asset management, with industry research or sector analysis experience.
o Science or technology communication experience at top media outlets, tech companies, VCs, or universities.
Market Knowledge: Strong understanding of global tech startup ecosystems, investment trends, and regulations.
Language: Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal, with ability to engage senior stakeholders and convey complex ideas clearly. Chinese proficiency is a plus.
