About the Role:
We are looking for an Exam Access Arrangement Assessor to oversee and complete the exam arrangement process across college.
We require a qualified specialist assessor to undertake exam access arrangement assessments for our students, liaise with relevant stakeholders and complete relevant paperwork in line with JCQ requirements.
About the Organisation:
The College operates across three main campuses in Stevenage and Hitchin, employing over 650 staff. With a turnover of £30m, the college provides learning opportunities to over 10,000 students each year from study programmes for 16-18 year olds and apprenticeships through to adult provision locally, regionally and nationally. ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Main Roles and Responsibilities
3. To undertake assessments for Exam Access Arrangements in accordance with JCQ guidelines, including the completion of form 8s and seeking awarding body approval online.
4. Keep up to date with legislation and JCQ requirements.
5. Assess students using appropriate materials.
6. Write reports to a professional standard and quality.
7. Communicate assessment findings to students, staff, parents / guardians as needed for inclusion.
8. To liaise with tutors, students, ALS Coordinators, and support staff, to clarify students’ needs and reach appropriate solutions for exams.
9. To liaise with the Exams Office to ensure students receive their exam Access Arrangements.
10. Keep accurate records of Exam Access Arrangements on college systems.
General duties
11. To contribute to the effective management and promotion of equality and diversity
12. To work in accordance with the Health & Safety at Work Act, ensuring the College is a safe environment for staff, students and visitors.
13. To promote with staff and students the importance of safeguarding the welfare of children and vulnerable adults they are responsible for and come into contact with.
14. To work at all times in accordance with North Hertfordshire College’s policies and procedures.
