Continuous Improvement Lead – Synergy Flavors

Synergy Flavors, a division of the Carbery Group, is a global leader in flavourings, extracts, and essences. With sites in 8 countries and customers in over 50 markets, we combine innovation, sensory science, and application expertise to deliver high‑quality taste solutions across the food and beverage industry.


Key Responsibilities

* Develop, manage, and execute the site Continuous Improvement Plan in partnership with the Leadership Team and the Global CI platform.
* Track financial impact of initiatives, conduct accountability meetings, and lead the CI tracker reporting.
* Ensure the sustainability and effectiveness of the production monitoring and improvement process site‑wide.
* Maintain a pulse on the site’s lean maturity level and support its evolutionary journey with external resources.
* Identify and share best practices across Carbery‑Synergy sites.
* Coach leaders on maximizing the production monitoring & improvement process, ask the right questions, recognize opportunities, and drive actions.
* Lead and coach teams to improve safety, quality, delivery, cost, throughput, and inventory.
* Promote lean thinking through training, coaching, and mentoring at all levels of the organization.
* Develop and deliver standard training material across the site.
* Engage employees in problem solving and workshops; ensure their ideas are heard.
* Lead by example, be visible on the floor, celebrate wins, and recognize employees/teams.
* Capture details of all CI initiatives and share learnings and best practices cross‑functionally.
* Drive the implementation of standardized ways of working to engage all employees on the CI Journey.


Qualifications

* Bachelor’s degree in engineering, food science, or business studies.
* Minimum of 5 years of broad‑based manufacturing experience.
* Substantial experience with continuous improvement approaches (e.g., TPM, lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, Value Stream Mapping, Visual Controls, 5S).
* Effective communication with all stakeholders, both internally and externally.
* Ability to deal with complexity and change, prioritize effectively, and deliver within short timescales.
* Capability to take a broader responsibility in the future.
* Background in engineering.
* Recognized qualification in lean, such as a Green Belt or Lean Six Sigma.
