We’re looking for an experienced operations leader to take a hands-on role in scaling and optimising production, supporting the next phase of growth. The Role of Manufacturing Operations Manager will include: * Take overall responsibility for day-to-day manufacturing operations, ensuring production targets, quality, cost, and safety standards are achieved. * Lead and develop the on-site production team, fostering a culture of accountability, high performance, and continuous improvement. * Implement effective production planning, scheduling, and performance monitoring systems to support growth and operational efficiency. * Work closely with engineering, R&D, and commercial teams to industrialise and scale new technologies, ensuring a smooth transfer from development to full-scale manufacturing. * Drive process optimisation, lean manufacturing initiatives, and best practice across all operational areas. * Oversee site compliance, health and safety, environmental performance, and quality systems. * Play a key role in shaping the future direction of manufacturing operations as the business expands. The suitable candidate for Manufacturing Operations Manager will need to possess the following skills and experience: * Proven experience in manufacturing or production management, ideally in concrete, construction materials, aggregates, heavy industry, or process manufacturing. * Strong leadership skills with the ability to build, develop, and motivate teams. * Excellent knowledge of production planning, continuous improvement, lean principles, and operational performance management. * Experience introducing or scaling new production technologies or processes is highly advantageous. * Strong focus on safety, quality, and operational discipline, combined with commercial awareness to drive efficiency and growth. * Comfortable working in a fast-paced, innovative environment, where structure is being built and refined as the business scales.
