Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity for a Production Operator at our factory in Cramlington, to join our Operations Team. The purpose of the role is to make certain that the Cramlington Site is satisfying its internal and external customers through the following: Undertaking a variety of production tasks which could include the operation of paper slitting machinery/automated packing line, picking and returning material from stock and inventory control, packing and fork-truck driving. Working as part of a team, the Production Operator will be required to support and contribute towards the drive for continuous improvement and support departmental improvement initiatives encompassing People; Safety; Quality; Service & Cost.

Location: Cramlington, Northumberland
Salary/Shift Allowance: £32,500 (includes 25% shift allowance)
Hours: 39 hours per week, working on a 12 hour shift pattern
Key Responsibilities
* Make safety number one priority at all times and ensure 100% support of Behavioural Safety Programme and active support across the shift.
* Be an effective member of the Team in line with business goals via daily supervision and the application of the Avery Dennison GPS process.
* Demonstrate excellent teamwork with counterparts on other shifts and other key contacts within the Plant and Avery Dennison organisation.
* Support and drive continuous improvement initiatives across the shift in line with key quality targets such as Quality Index, Customer Complaints, and Quality Audit Schedules.
* Work closely with Process Engineering, Quality, and Engineering departments to identify drivers affecting quality, service metrics, and maintenance of critical production assets.
Qualifications
* Strong team player and effective communicator who is results driven and willing to take initiatives.
* High level of safety awareness with demonstrated competencies in Risk Assessment, Permit to work and the Avery Dennison Behavioural Safety Programme preferred.
* Strong analytical skills and problem solving abilities with a high degree of commitment, values and integrity.
* Computer literate with a track record of delivering results in line with business goals.
* Experience of working within a process operation environment.
