Location: London - Paddington Workplace Type: Hybrid working 2-3 days a week in Paddington office Employment Type: 12 month contract Seniority: Associate The role The main purpose of this role is to ensure that investment risk portfolio data, is properly set up in external risk systems, working closely with the core investment risk team, data engineering teams and external risk system vendors (e.g. MSCI, Bloomberg, etc). This is a unique 12-month contract opportunity to contribute to the implementation of the Target Operating Model of Investment Risk, from an external risk data perspective. What you’ll be doing: Be the key SME contact in investment risk data, liaising with data engineering teams and external risk system vendors (e.g. MSCI, Bloomberg, etc) Liaise with investment risk managers, quantitative analysts and investment risk data analyst (responsible for BAU internal risk data sources) Ensure that new portfolio data is uploaded to risk systems Manage results of upload of multiple strategies and funds in a timely manner Reconcile differences in security level data, exchange traded and OTC, across systems (e.g. Securities exchange listings, ADTV, classifications etc) Who we’re looking for: Strong attention to detail and passion for hands-on data analysis Strong domain knowledge of portfolio holdings data from an investment risk perspective Understanding of financial derivatives from a data perspective (including proxies) Experience in reconciliation and investigating data errors Experience with data format of industry standard risk systems such as MSCI, Bloomberg. Desirable: Experience with financial data structures such as Bloomberg data, Aladdin data, or investment risk systems Experience with financial time series such as performance data, Excellent command of SQL, and experience of creating tables as required Experience in an asset management firm allocating to third-party managers Qualifications: Degree qualified, and higher, in a quantitative subject or business subject What's in it for you?
