Our partnership at Heathrow continues to grow, and the clients Heathrow team is seeking an experienced MEP Supervisor to join the T2 Baggage team. The successful candidate will oversee all Mechanical, Electrical, and Public Health (MEP) works across Tranche 4 within the baggage programme. This role involves close collaboration with the clients works management team, the Tranche 4 lead, our clients supply chain, Heathrow Airport Limited (HAL) supply chain, and HAL project management teams to ensure works are delivered safely, on time, and to the required quality standards.
The MEP Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring all our clients and HAL processes and procedures are followed throughout the delivery lifecycle, from construction through to handover. Coordination with HAL Tier 1 suppliers is essential to guarantee that all works are fully integrated and operate cohesively as a system. The role requires maintaining visibility, consistency, and clarity across the Tranche 4 baggage programme, ensuring the internal team and stakeholders are fully informed and engaged.
Key responsibilities include managing the MEP supply team, including subcontractors and alliance partners, supporting programme updates, procurement activities, and ensuring adherence to safety management plans for electrical, mechanical, and testing and commissioning works. The role also involves overseeing temporary site services, interface management, and promoting Heathrow’s values and behaviours throughout the project.
Skills
Proven experience delivering Mechanical, Electrical, and Public Health systems including construction, quality, testing, commissioning, and handover
Strong leadership and team management skills
Excellent communication and conflict management abilities
Experience coordinating multi-disciplinary teams including subcontractors and supply chain partners
Knowledge of health, safety, environmental, and quality standards in construction
Ability to manage procurement and identify long lead-time and high-risk packages
Experience working within a self-assurance contract environment
Familiarity with industry regulations and standards related to building services (e.g. BS 7671, Building Regulations)
Ability to maintain visibility and clarity across complex project programmes
Collaborative approach to working with clients, supply chain, and project management teams
Software/Tools
Project management and scheduling software (common tools may include MS Project, Primavera)
Document control and communication platforms (e.g. SharePoint, ProjectWise)
Certifications & Standards
Knowledge and application of Framework Electrical Safety Management Plan
Knowledge and application of Framework Mechanical Safety Management Plan
Knowledge and application of Framework Testing and Commissioning Management Plan
Understanding of relevant health and safety legislation and construction standards
